CONGRATULATIONS, DAD FOR COMPLETING ALL CHEMO TREATMENTS TODAY!! WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF YOU!
Well, it's finally Friday. I thought this week would never end! Work has been slow in the Call Center this week, I have processed a lot of faxes and mail requests from our insureds. For instance, I only answered 8 phone calls all day yesterday. That's for the entire eight hour day!
I am looking forward to this weekend. A three day weekend, thanks to Labor Day.Thank.You.
I have an interesting story to share about what I witnessed in our office yesterday....It goes like this(sorry for such detail, but I am a very analytical person). A gentleman came into the office to receive a check payment from a claim that he filed against our insured, so I call his claim adjuster to assist him. To no avail his adjuster is not available, so I do the next best thing-Call her manager. He.Wasn't.Available.Either. So the gentleman begins to get impatient, so I call
another manager to assist him. When our manager brings the folder of claim information(including the check) the gentleman eagerly takes the check but reviews the check first and starts arguing about the name it was written to. The check was written to he and his wife, he did not want his wife's name on the check....apparently the have been estranged for some years back. He insisted that his 'wife' has nothing to do with this claim and the check should only be issued to him. The manager continues to explain that he and his 'wife' signed the release settlement and the check must be issued to both of them. Get this.....the gentleman insists that his 'wife' has no connection to him what so ever and demands the check be re-issued to him only, although they are not legally separted or divorced. The bad thing about this entire situation, the manager was doing him a favor-he was not the manager involved with his claim, poor manager----so to try and give the customer what he wants)after all, the customer is NEVER WRONG)**wink**wink. The options given were to take the check and have 'wife' endorse it with him to cash it, or we could re-issue a check to him only but would not be available until Friday morning(and the man drove up from ATlanta). Immediately, the man
chose to take the check we already had prepared---funny how a check of $3000 all of a sudden makes someone decided their 'wife' is some connected to them, Huh.
This story was funny to me, thought I would share it....hope you enjoyed.
Remember, as long as you are married you do have a connection to your spouse!
